Llyn Gweryd

Llyn Gweryd’s 12½ acres (5 Ha) is a true mixed specimen lake. It provides Carp to 29lbs, Bream to 10½ lbs, Tench to 10lbs, Roach of 2lbs plus, Perch 5lb, Rudd 2lb and quantities of Skimmer Bream. This lake is easily accessible with three car parks, well spaced pegs and disabled access.

Llyn Ewan

Llyn Ewan’s 1¾ acres (0.75 Ha) is a well stocked mixed silver fish with some carp to 12lb lake providing excellent pleasure angling in a secluded setting. It has car parking and disabled access.

Llyn Louis

Llyn Louis is a ¾ acre (0.4 Ha) lake containing trout to 5lbs mainly stocked with 1lb fish and maybe bait fished on a catch a kill or fished with sporting fly.

Annie's Pool

Annie’s Pool is our new fly only lake ½ acre stocked with 50- 90 rainbow trout between 1lb and 5lb. With depths from 16 ft to 5ft and spring fed it offers good sport and excellent access to the less mobile angler. Our shop stocks a selection of flies and fly rods may be hired by experienced fishermen or lessons are available on some days – see fishing news.

Gweryd Lakes, located in Denbighshire North Wales, is easily accessible being only 30 minutes from Chester, 45 minutes from Merseyside and 60 minutes from Greater Manchester.

You can choose from day tickets, 24 hour fishing or stay as long as you like. Trout fishing is by the hour and per fish. See the fishing prices and rules page for more information. A choice of reasonably priced accommodation is available from all weather bivvy pegs and camping pitches to self-catering mobile homes or B&B.

Our catch return database allows you to record your catch online ( or have it entered for you) and enables you to see details of recent catches, baits and methods.

The shop on site provides a range of fishing tackle, baits and advice to help you enjoy Gweryd Lakes to the full.

And you won’t go hungry as the café provides a range of food and snacks throughout the day to eat in or take away.

Whilst you enjoy the fishing other family members can easily access the excellent walking and mountain biking trails in the area, visit the neighbouring waterfowl centre at Pen-y-Ffrith or simply enjoy the tranquillity and the scenery.
