Rob Roberts and his family enjoyed a 3 night break in our B&B with some fishing in the sunshine. Rob Roberts and his family enjoyed a 3 night break in our B&B last week and have photos of one of the carp caught. Fruit flavoured baits proved popular with the fish again last week for Rob. The pictured fish is a healthy 17lb Common Carp. There were plenty of silverfish and tench to be caught too. Kevin & Jordan Hogg catching Carp as well as the Sun!
22.5lb Mirror (photo attached) & 17lb Common as well as 8lb Ghost & Common and super bream (7lb)! More photos to follow. A 48hr session on a very sunny Llyn Gweryd resulted in some great fish being pulled out by Kevin and Jordan as well as a need for aftersun! Kevin caught the to two bigger fish - a 22.5lb Mirror to Tutti Frutti Corn and a 17lb Common to Pineapple boilie. Jordan caught two 8lb carp- a Ghost and a Common and some equally impressive silverfish (7lb Bream and 2.5lb roach to spicy boilies!). It would seem that with the lack of rain and low water levels of the lake, the best tactic has been to cast out beyond the margins with smaller PVA bags and use fruit flavoured baits. The cooler times of early morning and dusk proved to be best for catching. They even pulled their rods in in the evening to stop the flow of Tench which apparently had the munchies then!
